7 commentsWe made the 22 december (2011) deadline with version 1.092.
Theres no time to waste, lets get on with the next version.
I will update this list with changes that have been merged into the main fork until the new version is submitted.
Change log:
- An Australian fellow (AppStore signature “PASRev”) commented on an translation bug when you delete categories. After further investigation, I can confirm that the bug “only” affects English, French and Portugese. The string in question is: “The category you are about to delete has X subcategories and Y transactions. These will also be deleted if you tap OK”.
- Added account management (adding, removing, editing, sorting – in Settings)
- Added account selection (in “New transaction”)
- Added transfer between accounts (in “New transaction”)
- Added possibility to set a default account (if you have multiple). If you only have one account, all transactions will be registered into that account by default.
Accounts are not mandatory, you will be able to use the app without the accounts feature.
- BUGFIX Fixed a bug with the recurring transactions.
The bug occurs when the recurring transactions are created/updated and is caused by the spinning progress view switching between calculating and creating transactions.
To be safe, we advice you not to create new recurring transactions until this version has been released.
- BUGFIX Fixed a bug with the recurring transactions. Some users reported of problems with duplicate transactions being generated.
- Major stability improvements

8 commentsWe’ve been really busy lately.
Alot of you have requested the accounts feature, and we’re almost finished with it. But apparently the bug that version 1.091 was supposed to squash did not work for everybody.
So we will be posting a new hotfix-release this week. We’ve got alot of good, detailed, reports on where the problem occurs but we’ve not yet succeeded to reproduce the bug on our hardware.
This version is a hotfix, but it contains alot of changes. Most of them are not visual – but nevertheless very important. It will upgrade your databases to one that supports accounts, budgets (and more neat, secret, stuff!
).
Change log
- Completely rewritten Core Data stack
- Added safe database migration wizard (no more timeouts on older devices!)
- Moved database from Documents folder to Library folder
- iCloud preparations (Completed implementation, but it needs further testing.)
- Accounts preparations (Database extended to support accounts)
- Budgets preparations (Database extended to support budgets)
- Import preparations (Support for iTunes document management)
Landscape financial analyzer v1 (Line chart, Pie chart, Bar chart and more!) Didnt make it in this version.
- Search: Totals (Shows separate sums of incomes/expenses)
- Intelligent sort in autocomplete (frequent expenses appear on top)
- Preparations for decorating categories with icons

It seems that the problem with iOS 5.0.1 wasn’t completely solved with version 1.090.
We are currently analyzing the logs and testing on our 3GS units to find it.
Many reviewers are complaining about this problem, that mainly affects iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.0.1. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience and we will post a new version as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Update 21 November 201, 0:55 am
We have isolated the problem and we’re working on a solution.
A fix should be available within a couple of days.

Another day, another release!
This is whats been done on 1.090:
- LLVM 3.0 bug
In XCode 4.2 the compiler (LLVM 3.0) has a bug that causes the app to crash on iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod 2nd gen.
- XML Export
The XML format is our custom format. This will mainly be used for backups and migrating to/from Android
- Password
We’ve rewritten the password dialogue from scratch. Its a bit prettier and has no animations
- Language bugfix
Minor language bugfix in the settings. Sections were always set in Swedish.
The landscape graph is completed, but we need to do some testing on older units before its ready for production.
We will post some new screenshots during this week. Stay tuned!

1 commentsOur Russian and Thai users have experienced an issue with the keyboard while typing descriptions.
Apparently this occurs in iOS5 only. A fix has been submitted and is expected to be released this week.
Version 1.089 was released 20 October 2011.
There have been alot of improvements that are not visual. For instance the category management is completely new. Most of it is refactoring/rewrites that we needed to do in preparation for the iPad version of MyWallet+.
Some of the visual stuff you can see is:
- Percentage in overview barchart
- New design in Settings
- New design in Export
We’d love your input on the visual style of Settings and Export.
Write a comment, that always cheers us up!

I had to fix the autocomplete bug, so version 1.088 will be a fix release only.
The chart depicted below will be released in version 1.089.
A new version already?
We have been getting so much love and good feedback from our users, we figured its about time we pay back.
Here is a screenshot of an upcoming feature I’ve been working on:

The graph will be visible when you tilt your phone to landscape mode.
You will be able to tap on a month to get an in-depth analysis of the selected months transactions. Neat, huh?
We have some minor issues with the scale (on the left side), other than that, it should be ready within the coming week!

I’m back! And we’re getting ready to increase the pace of the updates now! In fact, Im working on my iOS projects fulltime now.
The next version will feature a revamped transaction entry dialogue and the possibility to tag transactions (postponed to next version). We’ve listened to your feedback about the “clunkyness” of the transaction entry dialogue and used it to create a faster and lighter process, without loosing details.
We’ve built an intelligent autocompletion feature that you will absolutely love! I’ve been using it for 2 days and I’m totally hooked! It has cut my transaction entry time radically.
I’ve decided to lighten up the apps design somewhat. I will use the signature color (green) more and combine it with shades of gray. I want this app to feel more “German” in its design: strict, professional but still fun to use.
Heres a sneak preview:

2 commentsMany users have reported that after installing the beta version of iOS 5, MyWallet+ crashes when you try to create a new transaction.
The bug is confirmed, and we have submitted a fix to Apple.

21 commentsIn the last release (version 1.084) we introduced a somewhat upgraded overview. It turns out that we also introduced a minor bug. The bug only appears if the first time you installed MyWallet+ was prior to version 1.045 (which was released May 2010!). Users who bought the app after May 2010 will never experience the bug.
Please note that the bug doesn’t affect your data. Everything you have entered is still safe and intact.
We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience this bug might have caused.
And at the same time we are absolutely thrilled that so many users have stuck with us a whole year.
Anyhow we have fixed the bug, and the update is submitted to Apple.
Lets hope Apple have some engineers working this Easter

11 commentsYet another intermediary release!
We’re still working on the 1.1 release, but we don’t want to keep you waiting for new features.
So, we’ve added the following:
- Income chart in the overview
Tap the upper region of the overview to switch between incomes and expenses.

- Today toggle
Tap the current selected period in the overview (“Week, Month or Year”) to quickly jump back to the current Week, Month or Year. (Thanx to Beatriz González!)
- New languages
Added Finnish, Danish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified) and Korean.
We didn’t include the GPS component in this release. It was simply not ready for release yet.
